Get up bright and early today to catch the train to Vienna. The station is just a 20 minute walk from the hotel. The train leaves at 8am and takes around 5 hours so make sure to bring a book!
After arriving in Vienna at around 1pm, its just a short 5 minute walk to the hotel, Prizeotel Wien-City.
Drop of the bags and head to the nearby Museum of Military History. Tickets are £6.50.
After, head over to Belvedere Palace on the way to Cafe Bar Bloom. A great place for some lunch.
Following a quick bite, walk over to Mozart's apartment and the nearby St Stephen's Cathedral, which you can enter for free.
Another 10 minute walk will bring you to the Vienna Operahouse. You are now in the Museum Quarter of Vienna. Wander around and have a look at the various museums in the area, all housed in incredible palaces. The Albertina, an art museum; the Hofburg, a silver musuem; and the Museum of Natural History.
Next, walk on over to Rathausplatz, a 19th century park with statues, fountains, and an outdoor cinema in the summer (or an ice-rink in the winter).
Finally, head on over the Anker Clock before getting some dinner. Maybe go with something simpler this evening, especially if you had a bigger lunch.
A pleasant 45 minute walk back to the hotel awaits.
