King Louis insisted to move the government. This offered him protection being slightly distant from the capital. This move made it slightly inconvenient for the nobles, but this was a goal of the King. As I entered the Versailles, I was shocked. I now understand why there is so much discussion over the art style of the interior. Versailles is an example of baroque and rococo architecture. The French people, at the time, considered it baroque. This palace was known to evoke Italian baroque architecture. The King would not be happy to hear that as he believed in absolutism. Some people in the art industry consider the style as French classicism.
