La Playa Castelldefels

We're in Spain! I've slept 2 hours. But as we fly in over the Mediterranean, I have a moment of clarity: we are about to be living in Spain. What was thinking? I may have gone a wee bit overboard with this plan.

Three months in Barcelona. Then a trip around the country by car. Then, Croatia, Romania, Turkey...yep, we have definitely gone over the top here.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves...

The Boy and I stop at the nice Auto Europe store where we pick up a brand new Peugeot. Yes, it has that new car smell. To avoid VAT tax, Europeans like to buy slightly used vehicles from tourists who have driven them in longterm rentals. We get a new car. They defraud the government. Symbiosis.

The car is packed with 4 suitcases, 2 carry-ons, and 2 guitars. This is what it takes to bring the Bloom show on the road.

When we get into our apartment, it is even more amazing than the photos on Airbnb. We are across the street from the beach. Literally. It is a wonder. The view takes my breath away.
