My diary

I was so excited whilst I was flying to Calgary to be meeting up with Jenny Pete Pen and John. We were all flying into Calgary on the same day Jenny and Pete from London Pen and John from Vancouver and myself from San Francisco - it all worked as planned. As I opened the door to the hotel I could hear this amazing scream as Jenny came running through the hotel lobby to meet me. Wow what a welcome. Of course the next few hours were spent catching up with everyone's previous week of adventures. A knock on the door around 8 next morning saw John with muffins for breakfast before we met up with friends of his who were taking us out for the day. They took us to the Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum. Alberta is home to the riches source of dinosaur fossils in the world. It was about one and a half hours from Calgary so this gave us a wonderful insight to the country side. A lot of Canola Oil Plants are grown in this area and we drove through mile after mile of wonderful yellow fields. Museum really interesting we spent a couple of hours wandering followed by lunch. On the way back we detoured to see a tourist area of one of the oldest coal mining plants also the Horse Thief Canon. Great day but not quite finished it was on to a Thai restaurant for dinner. We decided that Pen should order all the dishes so we could try something new. Wow yummy dinner. End of another adventure packed day back to hotel tied but happy.
