Our second day in Jasper, a morning tour with the afternoon free. We are once again so lucky with another beautiful day. Our first stop Pyramid Lake, yes I know it's another lake but because of the brilliant day the reflections were amazing. On to Lake Patricia and once again same thing with the reflections. Jarred our bus driver said he would throw in an extra and took us to Medicine Lake or better known as 'The Disappearing Lake' because of its ability to empty through A series of holes on the floor of the lake and to refill in the spring. However that did not turn out to be the real bonus as while we were driving away from the lake there was a loud cry of 'bear' from people on the bus. Jerrod applied the brakes backed up and sure enough there was the black bear. We all had a great view for several minutes while holding up traffic behind us. After that excitement we moved onto Maligne Canyon amazing how years of rushing water had eroded the palliser formation to an extent that the Cayon was 50metre deep in places. On the way to our hotel we got Jarrod to drop us off in town. Real touristy with restaurants and cafes. We choose our cafe well and had a lovely lunch. A couple of drinks in my room and it was that time again - pack our bags in readiness for the next day.
