Bags packed early for our first full day on the Rocky Mountaineer train to Kamloop. Train wonderfully comfortable with great views through huge windows both side and top. We were booked in a gold class carriage which meant we were seated upstairs with the dining downstairs. Once again weather perfect. No sooner settled when half the carriage went off for the first sitting of breakfast. We did not miss out as while we waited for the second sitting around came scones and drinks. The same procedure happened for lunch and nibbles and drinks were continually being served all through the trip. The scenery spectacular as we moved through the Canadian forest and followed the Fraser and North Thomson Rivers. A wonderful relaxing way to see such a beautiful place with lush green vegetation in the fore ground and the mountains in the back ground. After staying at Fairmont Hotels all the way it was expressed that our hotel in Kamloop may not be as good. This turned out not to be true as we all had a one bedroom apartments in what seems to be a relatively new hotel.
Back on the train next day to consume yet more yummy food and drink. Once again blessed with another beautiful day. The scenery on day two was quite different following rivers almost all the way to Vancouver it felt quite different from the first day - Canada is still living up to being a very beautiful country. After settling into our hotel we went exploring making sure we knew the way to where we were to met the cruise ship the next day.
