Today's the Day!

I sit here in the airport, freezing. It is still cold in North Carolina, so I stand out with my high rise shorts and striped tee. I can't believe I'm doing this! From literally scrapping up tips, to being able to afford a 26 hour flight! Luckily, 3 years of birthday, Christmas, and chore money accumulate magical interest over the years (smile).
The flight I managed to get, however, is a lot more cheap than what others have to pay. I get the same seat as them...for 200 bucks off! Thanks Kayak! and with only one layover in Philly, then a straightway to Maldives. I am on my way!

Right now I'm keeping my nerves down by eating pretzels (which I thought were complimentary) and drinking ginger ale. Oh Maldives...here I come! I can't help but feel scared though... This is my first "real" trip without anyone, and hopefully I don't get lonely...

The plane is amazing... its soft faux fur seats and cleaned, reflective mirrors are creating illusions of such royalty, and riches, that I don't have! The view of the huge flat screen, attached to the fronts of aisles, also distracts me from this hideous..uh snoring...uh beast sitting beside me.

The plane is in the air...but I didn't feel nor hear a thing! Maybe since everything is so calm and relaxing...I'll just doze off...Z.....Z....Z....z.zz.z.z.z.z.

I'm up now, too excited to sleep. The wind is smooth, and the ride's been nice but I can't help but still feel scared. I'm scared of traveling to new lands, alone. Rosetta Stone hasn't prepared me enough for the language immersion, and I feel under packed. Yes I know the history, and of its people, but what use will that do?
It will be of use..yes it will be...I just have to relax...just relax...

The first half is over! I have survived the trip minus the threat of terrorists, and rude TSA officers! Now I have to wait, about an hour before the next flight. I see a cute guy over in my gate...maybe I'll just sit by him....maybe...

Thing went by in a blur. I remember crowds of people rushing towards the gate, their passports open and their tickets out. The lines were long and many types of people stood in them, people from around the world.
We boarded the plane a little early, as to stay upon schedule. The plane amazed me fore it didn't resemble a plane in the leas bit, no this so called plane, was really an air BUS! Filled with three main sections, walkable walkways, and over four cleaned bathrooms, this airplane truly is luxury. The color scheme, of purple and brown, command wealth, and the flight attendants give the utmost respect, always.

So I sit here, in my middle seat, in full bliss. Blissful over the fact that this flight might actually be...enjoyable.
