Renaissance in Florence

From 1420-1427 painter Gentile da Fabriano became champion of the International Gothic style. During 1423, he completed his great masterwork which was, the Adoration of the Magi altarpiece . I have recently visited this masterpiece in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. As I walk in the Uffizi Gallery, it is loud since it is the outdoor area.I see crowds full of people, and everyone talking about what they have seen. The Uffizi Gallery is full of so many halls, about 45 halls. I could smell the city from the gallery since it is an outdoor area before you go in. Once I find my way in, everything immediately goes quiet. I see groups, but everyone is more spread out. As well, everything is so clean and tidy. Each painting or sculpture has light reflected on it, and I see these little stands near them. I believe the stands keep people away from getting closer. Wow, I finally saw the painting and it is beautiful! I now understand why it is so important. It reflects the Christian religion in Florence, and the importance of Jesus. The vivid colors and the gold really captured my attention. It is so fancy, it looks like the painting even belongs in a kingdom. As one of the gospel kneels to baby Jesus, and recognizes him as the son of God. Everyone is admired by the miracle God had sent. I can imagine the special moment they must have felt. God sent the creation of everything that exists in the universe. The paintings at the bottom are so unique. They demonstrate the events before meeting baby Jesus. The first painting on the left corner depicts the announcement of baby Jesus, the second painting reflects the journey to Jerasulem, and the arrival of when they meet him. These really help the audience understand how the events followed up to the image that they are seeing in full picture.
