Mijn dagboek

I haven’t wrote in a while and a lot has been going on. I was not happy with my old apartment and solving the problem was harder than I thought. Not everyone at the agency spoke in English and the contract were my rights and obligations were written in, were in Spanish as well.

Since I did not know any word in Spanish, I preferred talking to a person who spoke good enough English. After two days the manager called me to asked if I could meet him in the center because he had an apartment there that he would like to show me. The apartment was literally in the middle of the center, there were only students and young working people living there, it was 15 minutes from my university, 10 minutes from the station, it had a supermarket at the corner of the street, so far so good. I walked in, the building looked really fancy, apparently it used to be for wealthy families and since three years someone took everything over, renovated it a bit and rented it to students. The apartment looked oke, my room was big enough and clean, so I took it. The next day I moved there and I met my roommates one by one, not knowing that we were going to be one, big, happy family.

I started with school as well. Since I was not an Erasmus student and I had to do half of the payment there first, I missed the first 2 lessons of the Spanish course. But I did not miss a lot. I had all my classes, I really liked the subjects I have chosen. I got help with it from my coordinator, she made sure I knew what all subjects were about, what lever I should take, what times I preferred. I got to know my class and they were very kind to be. I also made sure that I was open to every new person, since I know my facial expressions are not always that welcoming. I am starting a new life in Spain, so I better try my best.
