MY TRAVEL JOURNAL

In that day i had a trip to Transylvania scheduled. I was picked up at my hotel and with a group we started our 2 hour journey to Transylvania. We would go to Peles Castle, Brasov and we would end up in Dracula Castle !!!
First of all i have to say that our driver was like the twin brother of Liam Neeson so i was fealing really secure in case something happened because we had a really badass guy guarding us...
Once we reached Peles Castle we were told that we were not allowed to take pics inside the castle unless we paid a fee...i did not pay it so i did not take any pics from the inside of the castle which i regret because it was really impressive. It was really crowded but we had a very good guide and she was not rushing so we got a very good tour of the castle with the highlight being a room fully painted by Gustav Klimt.
Peles Castle is not in Transylvania, it is just outside of it. Once we left with the bus our guide let us know when we entered Transylvania. Once we entered the weather was sunny...in the next minute there was a hailstorm...I don't know if it was a coincidence but i shitted my pants.
Once we reached Brasov the hailstorm had stopped and we got off the bus to see this little town...once i started walking through the city hell broke loose...a really big thunderstorm...i tried to find refugee under some umbrellas in a restaurant...i was sitting there for about half an hour and then i decided i had to go to the bus because we had to leave in a bit...Thank God the rain was a bit quitter so i rushed to the bus...i got a bit wet but in the end i was thankfull that the thunderstorm had stopped and i could go to the bus.
Our next stop was Bran Castle or Dracula Castle. First of all Dracula was bassed on a real man, Vlad the Impaler, but Bran Castle is not the castle of Vlad. Vlad's castle is nothing but ruins now. The reason they advertise this as the Dracula Castle is that Transylvania is the reason most tourists go to Romania so they had to find a castle of that era in the same region to keep the tourists coming.
The castle is not very impressive to be honest. It is a medieval castle with nothing really special but it is in a very nice place...inside the Carpathian Mountains.
The most impressive was the Peles Castle but i really liked the positioning of Bran Castle.
After that we headed back to Bucharest and a very nice day came to an end.
