MY TRAVEL JOURNAL

What i did not mention in the first chapter is that this was a two part journey. When i left Munich i did not return to Thessaloniki. I went to some other friends in Stockholm.
The teasing started onboard the plane. When we were approaching Stockholm the view was really amazing. A lot of small green islands with narrow bodies of water between them with cruise ships going throught them. Amazing !!!! Once i landed i took the Arlanda Express to city centre. My friend was late again (what is going on with my friends???) but he came to pick me up.
Stockholm is a wonderful city. It is full of islands and water !!!! In my opinion if a city has a river it goes up a level...if it has water everywhere...you get the point...But it has a big drawback too...no sun!!! I come from a country where we have sun almost every day of the year so it is a bit strange for me to have no sun.
My friends there were working at the time so i had to make some sightseeing by myself. The public transport system is really easy to navigate and they have some of the most beautiful subway stations i have seen. First of all Gamla Stan (the old city) Wonderful. Narrow cobbled streets, nice old buildings, no cars, small souvenir shops and small bars serving hot wine, one of the best experiences you can have in northern countries, drinking hot wine in the cold.
My trip in Stockholm was mostly concentrated around the old city and its surroundings. That is where my habit of buying a magnetic cap opener from each country started.
In overall it was a nice trip, not as full as in Munich but i think i will go to Stockholm again someday.
