Chapter one - Wish Comes True

The plan to travel to Australia was always there especially for the past few years. We had visited Australia earlier in Jan 2006 when we have had a memorable trip to Sydney and the Gold Coast. The memories that we had during that trip always lived with us and rekindled our thoughts of visiting the great country once again. Alas due to our preoccupation we were not able to repeat our Ozzie trip for a decade.

Everything has to fall in place to complete a wish. It all happened in One fine November day. The decision was taken to visit Australia

and spend the New Year with the entire family and to revel the holiday season to our fullest in the Downunder summer.

As the plan was a last minute deal we could not get seats in a decent airline nevertheless we made last minute bookings in Air Asia from Chennai to Melbourne on the 24th evening.

Actually with all meals prebooked and all perks added to our tickets we were pleasantly surprised to have a great flight especially the KUL-MEL travel leg was very comfortable with good leg space and tasty food onboard. Probably the only blip being the flight was late to take off by a couple of hours and the change over at KLIA 2 Airport was little more than we had anticipated. Our excitement to reach our destination was overwhelming to remove all the fatigue that our body was showing.
