THE DOWNUNDER SUMMER

Our last day at Canberra, planned to see the Australian Capital city and all its governmental buildings during the day. All of us including Chandru's parents accompanied us for the sight seeing day.

We started with the Australian parliament which is open to Public and saw the seat of Australian Power. Spent almost a couple of hours at the parliament and had a brunch at the Parliament cafeteria, procured some souvenirs as well. The visit was worth every second spent there !.

Thereafter we went to the Australian Mint where the ozzie coins are minted. Had a glimpse of its history and working in detail. Purchased some Gold Dust too. Yes you heard it right it is sold as a souvenir

Could not visit the miniature garden and some more places of interest at Canberra due to paucity of time. We had to get back home have lunch and start our journey back to Sydney as Ganesh and family were expected to return home that day. We reached Sydney by 8 PM and Ganesh had arranged a scrumptious dinner at an Indian restaurant, Urban Tadka for all of us. Chandru and Aishu too joined us. It was a fun dinner time and earned some rest through a deep sleep later that night.
