Day 58: The Great Barrier Reef

Up early today to visit the Great Barrier Reef! We took a two hour boat drive out to the reef. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, it couldn’t have been more perfect! I have to admit I was quite nervous to go snorkelling so far out in the middle of the ocean but oh wow it was incredible. So peaceful just watching all the fish and coral and only being able to hear your breathing. Some of the fish that we saw were amazing!
Had lunch on the boat and then went for a second snorkel in the afternoon! This time I saw a shark around 15 minutes in, at this point I decided that it was time for me to get back onto the boat! It was a great day, and the reef was beautiful! A fab experience!
In the evening we went to the night markets for dinner! I had sushi which I’ve missed so much!! It was so so good!
