Sue and Mike to UK & Munich

We enjoyed a quiet morning at the flat and the gathered Christmas presents and our bag for 2 nights in Salzburg.

Sean and Michaela prepared a beautiful Christmas lunch and we enjoyed a few glasses of champagne - one that Fred has suggested and one from Bern and Mark - both delicious for our family Christmas in München.
Sean cooked lamb backstraps and Michaela and he had prepared a potato dish from Fred’s partner’s recipe - yum - and lovely vegetable dishes. So we sat down to a grand feast. Anna was feeling a bit better and enjoyed her meal. After lunch we opened presents - such a nice time and sometimes a bit tearful when the Britt Santa sacks came out as a surprise ending.
We then got ready to catch the train to Salzburg and all up it took about 2 hours. We are staying at the Hotel Scherer- an older style

Austrian hotel - spotlessly clean but the lurid green sofa in the front lounge is a bit much!! Haha!!

We found a nice Japanese restaurant for a bite to eat for dinner and then Mike, Anna and I headed home to the hotel. Mike and I watched ‘Sound of Music’ on a dedicated channel in our room but when intermission came up we called it a day. A wonderful family Christmas to remember. XXXXX
PS it was funny to change countries on a Christmas afternoon!
PSS we shared Christmas wishes with family in Canada and Australia and friends in different places too.
