Sue and Mike to UK & Munich
After our very nice stay in Bushwood Road, Kew we packed up and took the tube to Richmond - one stop - and then the overground train to Euston Station. The overground train carriages were very spacious, which was helpful with all our bags. There were heaps of people at Euston and we boarded our comfortable train to Manchester. Near the station was a fun set of lamp sculptures - see the pictures.
Got our hire care from SIXT and headed off to Ostwestry - a 90 minute drive - to our friends’ home - Cathy and Charles. It was so great to see them again, Cathy had made a delicious dinner and we spent the evening catching up. She had decorated their house for

London to Manchester and Oswestry
Oswestry

Christmas and the tree was lovely.
We had a call from Lynda telling us about the new granddaughter Quinn Emilia Marie, born on 9th December. By conincidence Mum Christina and baby will now share the same birthday. Quinn was 2 weeks late but her safe arrival in Calgary was very welcome. She looks so cute.
