Christmas Eve in München

Cold and drizzly day for Christmas Eve as we set off for Sean and Michaela’s flat for brunch at 10am. Pretty quiet on the streets as it was also Sunday when shops are normally closed. Michaela had set a beautiful table for our brunch with red berry branches and pine needle branches. Sean cooked a stack of pancakes and with the German pretzels and crossaints we had a bit of a multi-cultural brunch. Kaffee was good too! Anna joined us and it was so lovely to be together. Talking to Bern and Mark was also a treat.

After brunch we played a couple of games of Carcassonne and did 2 SMH quizzes…the brain cells were activated again. Mike and I enjoyed reacquainting ourselves with Carcassonne and the game was lots of fun. It is a very clever game and Sean and Michaela introduced the strategies slowly over the 2 games.

We had a light lunch and did a bit of rearranging of our trip times to Salzburg and then made our way back to Fred’s flat. Once we had passed a few stops on the tram we realised we were going in the opposite direction so off and onto the correct tram!! It is very dark outside!!! A lovely Christmas Eve. Hoping Anna will feel better tomorrow for Christmas Day in München. She is feeling very sick with Covid :( so sad for her.
