We had a holiday within a holiday in Muskoka, Canadian Cottage Country. Cherry hired a people carrier, which we affectionately named 'The Pakiwagon' and drove 215 kilometres north from Toronto. Our hire cottage on the lake near Huntsville, was more like luxury villa than a cottage! I sat on the dock of the bay in the sunshine, taking in the serene view. The only thing I could hear was the rustle of leaves in the breeze and the lapping of the water on the shoreline. I watched a small boat slide past and enjoyed the moment.
