Europe

This morning, we left the house we rented in Hvar and drove down to the end of the island (90 minutes) to the ferry in Sucuraj. Some of the mountain roads were crazy windy, very narrow, with no shoulder and no guard rail. We literally had inches of road on our right and then a sheer cliff. Needless to say, I was having a total panic attack (almost ready to get out of the car and walk). If I wasn't freaking out about driving off the road I was enjoying the insanely beautiful views.

We then took the ferry to the mainland and drove to Dubrovnik (with a short stop in the country of Bosnia-Herzegovina). We dropped our rental car at the Dubrovnik airport and taxied into the city. This city could be one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Ancient and regal, limestone streets, baroque buildings and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic. This place is incredible.
