Europe

We headed out early this morning to an amazing restaurant in the Pijp area called Coffee & Coconuts. The restaurant is too cool for school - and their website is pretty awesome too. When on the website, click on their logo and check out their vimeo.

This restaurant was super cool and beachy, built in a former cinema from the Roaring 20's – called Ceintuur Theater. I had the Green Coconut Bowl and Eric had the Scrambled Eggs Avo and both of us were totally blown away. Delicious.

The restaurant is also in an awesome neighborhood called Pijp with a daily market called: Albert Cuyp Market. We wandered through the market before heading to the Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Both museums were incredible but the Van Gogh Museum is an essential stop on a visit to Amsterdam.

After our museum visits, we returned to Cuyp Market to pick up some food at the various stalls: boquerones, stuffed dates, aubergine spread, cheeses and fruits. We took it all back to our hotel room for an afternoon feast on our deck in the sunshine. Fantastic.

Late afternoon we walked through Rembrandt Square, the Jewish Quarter, past the Horticulture Center and happened upon a spectacular restaurant called de Plantage that sits right next door to ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo. Super cool.
