This morning we drove to Tobovica Beach. We parked the car on the side of the road (highway) and hiked down to a beach. Easy hike but a bit of a challenge in flipflops. Great swim in the ocean and a few hours in the sunshine and then we returned to Villa Apolon to pack up and relocate at the house we have rented for the week.
The drive to the house was short – maybe 15-20 minutes -- but gorgeous, as we winded through olive groves and vineyards intertwined with small structures of antiquity and ruins of stone walls everywhere.
We arrived at our house – Villa Thalasa. AMAZING. Great pictures of this house on VillasHvar.com. It is perched on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The floor to ceiling windows (nano doors) open up to a view of the rocky coastline on the other side of this inlet. Before dinner, as the sun was setting, Eric and I swam across to the other side and cooked in the sunshine for a few minutes before swimming back.
