GOLD was an amazing experience. Serving a set 14-course meal of traditional, ethnic African cuisine, the servers were also entertainers, performing songs and dances inspired by their cultures. Geographically and from a culinary point of view, they divide the continent into North Africa, Sub Saharan, and Southern Africa.
When we arrived, we were escorted to an auditorium where we were each given a drum. There were about 100 diners in total. Led by a very charismatic performer and musician, we learned and played some unique beats before dinner.
