Alaska Trip 2019

Brenda and I took a halibut charter fishing trip today. We left the dock at 7:00 and went 13 miles off shore into the Cook Inlet. There were 5 fishermen and two crew on board. Maybe I should say 4 fishermen and 1 fisher lady....to be PC! It took about 45 minutes to get to our fishing spot. We fished in water that was about 130 feet deep using deep sea rods and reels with a 5 lb. weight and cut bait. The limit was two halibut per person, with one being less than 28 inches. The small fish were the harder to catch--there were plenty large fish and not so many small ones! We had a great time!!
