Alaska Trip 2019
We stopped for the night on the Glenn Highway about 150 miles from Valdez, AK. There was a nice turn out (large open rest area) that the state of Alaska provides for overnight camping. The road between Palmer, AK and Valdez, AK was one of the most scenic roads that we have travelled so far. The fishing was great! Brenda and I could only catch 6 pink salmon each and it took us about an hour to fill our limit! We could have easily have caught 25 each. Some of the locals told us where to go to catch fish!! There were sea lions and sea otters in the bay chasing the salmon up close to shore. That wade it easy for us to catch our limit!
