America on the road
We spent two days in New Orleans, which was cool. Saturday night we went down Bourbon street and it definitely lives up to the hype. Tacos and side a Caesar salad for dinner, delicious and more than enough food for the both of us. Had our first beers in 'merica, got carded, then went to Fat Catz where I had a 'shot' of fireball for $8!
Sunday morning we left the motel with the car top down and went back to the french quarter (after stopping by an Applebees for lunch) to explore it during the day. We learnt top down driving is not the one in this type of heat #SweatyBetties.
We headed back to Bourbon street for a wander and it's just as cool in daylight. we found a bar just off Bourbon which had 2oz shots of Jager/Jamesons/Fireball for $3 so I had two, obviously.
When we'd explored our hearts out we grabbed some beers from Walmart and went back to the motel for drinks and cards. After an early night without dinner it was back on the road towards Houston, TX
