America on the road

We stayed in an Airbnb in Northglenn which is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Denver, our host was guy named Kyle who gave us a ton of information about the whole legalised recreational weed thing. For instance did you know that there are four states in which recreational weed is legal; Colorado, Alaska, Oregon and Washington - and as a bonus also DC!
We were in Colorado for two and a half days, on our first night we got $4 tickets to go see the Colorado Rockies play in Coors Field. I learnt that baseball is less boring than I first thought, it really is an all american past-time. We had a beer and a hotdog and settled in for a little while to watch the Rockies get crushed by the Texans. After the fifth inning we decided we’d had enough of watching defeat (and we could get cheaper beers in a bar) so we left for some real food.
Day two we went for lunch - to a restaurant that has been on Diners, Drive ins and Dives - and then I mostly napped because seeing the world is tiring even when you’re not really doing anything other than napping.
Day three we left the wonderful Airbnb we drove on towards Golden, up near the Rockies. Golden is the home of Coors light, the tour is both self guided and free so well worth the trip. After we’d finished the tour we were in the coors bar, where you get three samples of Coors products, I had a Prohibition 19 (which was gross and ale-y), a Blue Moon (which is kind of delicious when fresh) and a Coors light (which is awesome when it’s fresh)! While I was busy drinking, and Jamie was busy being a responsible driver we met a family who were also visiting Colorado, who gave us some great travel tips - thanks guys!
After the Coors tour, and some hearty burgers, we hit the road again, to Kansas!
