Today we hit Auckland. We drove 4 hours down from the Bay Of Islands to Auckland. When we got to Auckland we drove around lost for a little bit until we found our hotel that we are staying in for 3 nights until we go down to Rotaroa, anyway we are staying on the waterfront so we went for a walk in the afternoon. It was a lovely afternoon and as we walked we saw lots of birds. Dad said that the most common one was called the seagull. Cording to dad there were also black birds. He told me that Black Birds are quite common here. The harbour was amazing and now i know what they mean when they say Auckland is the city of sails. There were so many boats. There must of been about 1000 just in the one place. Mum says that there are more boat places but they are not in the city. Then we got to the container ships. They were huge and containers are so heavy. I wonder how they stay afloat? We saw the Harbour Bridge and walked under the bridge it self it was so scary. Then we walked back to our hotel to pick up our car and get changed so we could go out to dinner at the sky tower. Now we are back from the sky tower and are about to go to bed. I am really tired so goodnight.
