Dear Diary
Today we walked to this little town called Maungonui. It is so pretty and small not like England at all. Hardly any traffic! We had ice-cream on the waterfront. I tried hokey-poky. Dad said that it is a kiwi special. We saw lots of fishing boats that had just come in. I asked dad if he would take me fishing but he said that it was to late because we leave tomorrow sadly. When we were in Maungonui we walked into this pretty little shop that sold New Zealand things. I brought two cats. One little and one big. they were black and white and had pretty New Zealand patterns like the silver fern. We started to walk back after we came out of the shops. I was running ahead of my family. We were passing by a little bay when I saw a Sting Ray. He was swimming so gracefully by the stones i thought he might of been dead. Dad came up to me and told me "No he is not dead he is just looking for food. See how he is softly he is moving. there are lots of little fish down there probably." By now my Mum and Sister had caught up to us so they were looking at the Sting Ray. My sister said that she was going to call the Sting Ray "ray".
Once my sister had got over "ray" we hiked up the biggest hill I have ever walked up we got back to our house and went for a swim. In the afternoon dad Made a awesome sand car that we could all sit in. He also made my a couch and TV. We then went for our last swim at Coopers Beach for now as we are leaving tomorrow sadly. We had fish and chips for dinner with the awesome view or the waves. Good Night
