Day 5
Our last long travel day before starting the National Parks! We did take time to stop and enjoy several attractions during the day and spent the evening in Holbrook, AZ. We stopped at a reservation and a wild life center. We also attended a Navajo Summer Dance which was amazing! The people were so friendly and excited to show their heritage. Each dance was part of their culture and had a purpose (example- war dance, healing dance, grass stamping dance, etc.) Children as little as 2-3 years old were allowed to participate in and learn the dances from their elders. It was amazing to see them passing this tradition on to their next generation.
