Blyer Family National Park Tour

Day-15
Today we visited Mesa Verde National Park, CO. We drove the Mesa Top Loop to see some of the archeological sites and then Kristina, Caden, Emma, and Alston went on the ranger-led Balcony House tour. According to the National Park Service this is the "most adventurous tour at Mesa Verde". After descending 100 stairs, climbing a 32 foot ladder in, crawling through tunnels only 18 in wide, and finally climbing 60 feet on ladders and stone steps to get out I would have to agree! The kids loved this adventure and were able to scale up those cliffs and ladders much faster than me. Doug and Bella stayed safely on top of the mesa. When we were exiting the park we had an another exciting moment when we watched a coyote chase a large wild turkey.
