Blyer Family National Park Tour

Day 12-
This morning we left Zion and headed toward Bryce Canyon National Park. We spent time hiking the rim trail and viewing the overlooks. The formations are very interesting and different than anything else we have seen. The kids loved watching the chipmunks and prairie dogs. It was 75 degrees, sunny, and there were trees! So far this is one of the most beautiful parks we have been in. Then we hit the road toward Capital Reef National Park. Highway 12 was beautiful! There were red rock formations, white birches, and wild roses. GPS said this route would take us 2 hours but it took over 3. I guess GPS does not take into account towing a 26 ft. trailer on the 10% grades or roads with drop-offs on both sides and no guardrails. GPS also does not account for open range cattle...we had to stop multiple times to get the cows out the way. When we got to Torrey, UT we stopped at a steakhouse because the boys just had to have some steak!
Miles-200
Hiking-2.5 miles; Multi-use path and Rim Trail, Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
Overnight- RV park in Torrey, UT
Favorites- Hoodoo formations; Highway 12
