Blyer Family National Park Tour

Day 24-
6/30/18
We are headed east! There are a lot of storms in the Midwest and we have already had to alter our course to a more northern route to try to avoid the worst storms. We stopped for a quick lunch and there were TVs in the restaurant. You can tell the kids have not seen TV for awhile because they were very interested in a corn hole tournament!

Overnight-Rochester, MN
Day 25-
7/1/18
We broke camp and started another travel day. There were a lot of heavy storms and we had no choice but to go through them. We had a lot of heavy rain but did our best to avoid the severe storms (even taking shelter in a convenience store for awhile). We finally made it through the storms around 8pm and then set up camp around 10:30pm.

Overnight- Fort Wayne, ID.
Day 26-
7/2/18
Our day started with a bang...literally! At 3am the capacitor in our air conditioning unit blew out and woke us up with a start. Luckily it did not cause any major damage and we were able to turn the fan on and go back to sleep. Since our northern travel plans are taking us through Ohio we will be making a brief visit to Doug's family. After a morning of driving we met family for a late lunch at Taggerts. We had more heavy storms and even had to 4 wheel drive through a ditch to get past a tree that had fallen in the road. In the evening we met with the Blyer family at the campground. The kids had fun playing and eating s'mores with their 6 second cousins.

Overnight- Canton, OH
Day 27
7/3/18
The morning was spent swimming at the campground pool with Jen and Alyssa. Then we broke camp and headed toward Salem, OH to visit with the Rea side of the family. We unhitched the camper at Mike and Rhonda's and then headed for the Salem Country Club for more swimming and fun with second cousins. We spent the evening with family and watched fireworks from Mike and Rhonda's.

Day 28
7/4/18
We left Salem, OH in the morning and headed for home! We had planned to arrive home on 7/5/18, but decided to get home since we had no air conditioning and were all ready for our own beds. We went through more bad storms but arrived home safe at around 6:30pm.
