Svanu40 GEO Life

The first year is mostly about chasing cans as much as possible, I notice that the invention of different kinds of hides are endless, sometimes you can already see the cache from a distance because you have met on the same number of times before.

What is fun is that at work (working on a passenger ship) and there are many people who are in the hobby as my mentor ukko63 and also our PRO cacher AV technician Djpancho, it is fun to get out during port time to hunt some cache cans, when there is time of course.

many cache owners have probably wondered if we got crazy because one day we are in Helsinki the next again is in Stockholm and again Helsinki

Also ordered a travel bug so that other people I meet
can log "traveling cacher"

Still seems like most who see the patch do not dare to photograph or write down the code so you who read the blog feel free to log the patch

Then the cache started rolling in, with tram, bus, boat, bike or just on foot no. 25 Vanity place (Stockholm) no. 50 became Lumme # 8 both in Stockholm.
Where more and more interested in the hobby did I get my first TB of ukko63 that I sent around the world named Viking Line lure 1.

one thing i noticed was that when i was not looking for caches, I still reacted in different places, sometimes I went to check if there is any jar in the place, you can say that you got some type of Geo damage :)

The pictures on the left are from Malax's archipelago (Gubben and Gumman GC1XDQC) near our summer cottage we must be two to log this T5, one drove the boat and the I jumped on to the rock and could log, this was done together with a friend (jarira) also cacher

On the next page you find some pictures from my home town Vasa.
Vasa history: The mainly wooden and densely built town was almost utterly destroyed in 1852. A fire started in a barn belonging to district court judge (next page picture of Vasa church ruins and also a Eagle monument)

The new town of Nikolaistad (Finnish: Nikolainkaupunki), named after the late Tsar Nicholas I, rose in 1862 about seven kilometres (4.3 miles) to the northwest from the old town modern name Vasa or in finish Vaasa.

The eagle monument:

The idea for the memorial was born in the spring of 1964 on Lake Luonetjärvi in ??Flight Regiment 4: The evening of the officers of the Guild. At first, the commemorative plaque was discussed. The project grew into a statue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our Air Force on March 6, 1968. The Finnish Aviation Memorial Association was founded to run the statue. The Aviation Statue is a tribute not only to the Finnish Air Force, but to all the work done and done for Finnish aviation.

Thus, it is the Thulin typ D reconnaissance plane that is generally credited as the first aircraft of the Finnish Air Force. It arrived at Vaasa on 6 March 1918. Landed on the ice.
