Know India Program - Connecting to the roots

Well honestly I was just waiting for the moment to be taken to Taj Mahal as I had heard about it so much. After all it is one of the seven wonders of the world. The beauty of Taj is just mesmerizing. On the day we went to see this beauty, there were hundreds of people already lined up to see this momentum of love. Luckily we did not had to stand in large queue and were taken right in. Being present at such an admired place made me wonder how it would have felt being here during its early construction age. I had read the story of Taj Mahal when I was in year 5 and seeing this beauty in movies felt much different when actually seeing it with your own eyes. The yamuna river flows right next to it adding more value to its beauty.

Later we were taken for a tour to the famous Agra Fort (which is another beauty). The feeling of seeing this place just made me feel like a royalty. I had seen this place in the famous Jodha-Akbar movie and it was exactly the same. The gardens inside the queens palace had died out, yet it was a beauty to admire. The story behind it was worth listening over and over again. I felt very blessed to actually see this historical sites with my own eyes and listening to the story behind it just brought all that I had seen in movies and read in books.
