Know India Program - Connecting to the roots

Woke up early morning, said good bye to my parents and siblings...I was on the first adventure of my life. I was headed for a 25 days India tour with a group of 40 youths form 7 different countries. With butterflies in my stomach, I arrived at the domestic airport. I had never set a foot on a plane and here I was taking a trip straight to the other side of the world all by my self.

I had a transit at Hong Kong Airport when traveling to India and a transit in Singapore on the way back. I was overwhelmed by the number of flights I will be taking and well technically I will be setting my foot in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Luckily there were 10 participants from my country who were part of this KIP or otherwise I would have easily been lost. Some of them were well-traveled hence it was easier to find our way through the airport. I do remember the difficulties we encountered at the Hong Kong airport in finding the correct platform as most of the signs were in their native language. Nevertheless we searched as a group and found our way through. It took us 3 flights to reach to Delhi. I set down quietly with mixed feelings of how this journey would turn out to be.
