Ireland 2015

Today was our only full day in Dingle. It started off right with a great breakfast. The porridge (oatmeal) was fantastic. It was topped with blueberries and raspberries, so I finally had Dingle berries. Our too-cute-to-be-legal hosts were as spunky and welcoming as ever.

We left with laundry in tow to drop off so we could have clean clothes back today. After, we drove through town to decide on our next stop. We arrived at the harbor to go on a dolphin-watching cruise. Dingle harbor has been home to a dolphin, Fungie, since 1984. They even

Dingle, Ireland

Today was our only full day in Dingle. It started off right with a great breakfast. The porridge (oatmeal) was fantastic. It was topped with blueberries and raspberries, so I finally had Dingle berries. Our too-cute-to-be-legal hosts were as spunky and welcoming as ever.

guarantee that if you don't see him, you don't pay (they haven't ever had to make good on that guarantee, as they always spot him). He swam right up and alongside the boat many times during the tour, and I made overuse of the burst mode on my camera, so I have lots of pictures to delete :)

Afterward, we walked around dingle town. We went into a beautiful art studio/gallery, met the artist, and bought a beautiful print. Her work is AMAZING! It captures the colors and movement of the Irish ocean and sky. My first word on entering the gallery was WOW! She responded, "every WOW gets a free postcard". I didn't realize she was Carol Cronin, the artist. www.carolcronin.com She was so nice, and hospitable. I can't wait to frame it and place it on the wall.

Then les and pat went to get some lunch, and Carrie went to get her hair cut. By a Frenchman. In Ireland. :). It came out beautifully. I was

really impressed. What.A.Hottie

We had just enough time to walk back to the B&B to leave for an archaeology tour of the peninsula led by our host, Tim. He is retired Garda, and fascinated by the history of the area. It was really nice to be able to watch out the window while riding, instead of driving, for a while. We saw some things we haven't seen before, and got some additional info on things we have seen before. It was great, if not a little cold. Yes, my California brethren, I was dressed for a blustery February night, and until the sun peeked out, was still cold. It was glorious. :)

We got back just in time to pick up our laundry and walk down to seek dinner. We chose poorly. While still edible, it was not up to the standards we had been enjoying. I guess we shouldn't deviate from Carrie's plans. Lesson learned.

Back at kirarry house, our hosts plied us with tea and sweetbread while we worked on journal and photo selection. A perfect way to end the day. Tomorrow, more Porridge!
