Surat Thani

Got a taxi from Surat Thani bus station to our hotel 40 baht! Checked in. Nice room, very clean and a small pool too which was a bonus. Unpacked then was in desparate need to get some washing done so went in search of a lady who washes. Found one down the road from our hotel. Collect tomorrow - perfect! Now Steve will have some clean knickers to wear haha! On the way back we found a lovely coffee shop called Hydes Coffee Bar. Went back to hotel room and chilled for a bit, started planning our itinerary for Koh Samui then went for a dip.

Again, as like Phang Nga, very untouristy here. Quite a surprise to see another European looking person! Also very hot walking round the streets.

Ventured down to the food night market. Steve tried a broth that

consisted of pigs liver, kidney and braised lungs...yuk! I had Pad Thai. Also tried sushi and various meats on sticks. Walked down to the City Pillar Shrine and saw it lit up at night and also the Light Bridge.

Next day went for a walk again. Found a shopping centre, then walked over the Light Bridge and had coffee and cake at a lovely cafe along the riverside. That evening we ordered a Grab dinner....two pizzas from Pizza Hut. Looked like frisbees, so thin but tasted OK. Had an early night ready for our ferry trip to Koh Samui in the morning.
