Arrived here safely after getting a taxi from Ao Yon. Checked in to our apartment at The Base Heights for the next seven days.
Decided to go for a walk to Lotus Tesco which was about 1/2 hour away. Had a walk around the nice air conditioned shops. That evening we took a walk up to Chillva Market. Quite busy there. Had some street food and walked around the market.
Next day we had a bit of a quiet morning. We used the gym facilities at our apartment and then went for a nice morning swim in the rooftop pool. Later that day we decided to walk to the Phuket City View Point (Khao Rang Viewpoint). Although it had been thundery and a bit overcast it was quite a steep walk to the top and we sweated buckets! Amazing views at the top looking out to sea at the different islands around. Steve got engrossed in filming monkeys while I got mugged by one for my bottle of water! Wild monkeys are not my favourite animals!
Went to Old Town Phuket Sunday Walking Market. Got there around 5ish and had a good walk around looking at all the food and souvenir stalls. Tried some of the food. Sat and had a coffee in an air conditioned cafe.
Took a walk over to Central Phuket Shopping Mall. Took roughly 1/2 hour to walk there. Very grateful for the air conditioning when we arrived! It was very clean and tidy and even had a Marks & Spencer!

Went up to the food court to get something to eat. You had to pay for your order first to get a token which you then took to the kiosk you wanted to eat from and handed the token over for your food... very strange! We both had fried chicken slices with rice which was very tasty. Only came to 120 Baht which is just over £3 for lunch. Not bad.
Our last night in Phuket Town we went up to Chivlla Market again. Had some more street food and a walk around.
On our final day we had to check out of our room by 12 noon. We got another swim in before we left.
Got a taxi to our next destination... Nai Han
