Our Thailand Travel Adventure

Checked in to our next hotel for the week. Got a better swimming pool so decided to stay here. Unpacked and sat by the pool for a bit. Then got ready and headed back out to watch the rugby, England v Australia. Good game and England won.

Sunday we had a lazy morning, got some printing done and sat by the pool for a while. Sunday evening we walked up to the Sunday Walking Market. Massive market with food and souvenir stalls - spent a few hours there. Stopped at a rooftop bar and had a drink overlooking the market. Good night out.

Our remaining days in Chiang Mai consisted of lazing by the pool, visiting various museumsand coffee shops and eating all of the lovely street food that Chiang Mai could throw at us.

Saturday was check out day. Catching the overnight 1st class sleeper train back to Bangkok this evening. We stayed around the hotel, had coffee across the road, then when it was time we got our final tuk tuk back to Chiang Mai railway station.

We were able to board the train early and get settled in our air conditioned cabin before departing. The journey took around 14 hours and between us we managed about 5 hours sleep! Very noisy on the train but certainly do-able.

We arrived in Bangkok around 7.15am on Sunday morning. Got a taxi to our hotel which was 10 minutes from the airport. Spent the day around the hotel and the pool, reminiscing about the fantastic time we have had and how it has now come to an end. Both of us gutted but we will certainly be back for more adventures.
