Day 115: Luging!

Queenstown, 12.04.2019

Today we all had a bit of a lie in, after a late night last night. Once we were up, we headed out into town to find some breakfast. We visited Ferg bakery and I got a bacon and egg muffin. The weather in Queenstown wasn't great. It had rained pretty much non stop since we arrived, and there were concerns that the town would flood if it kept raining. With this in mind, we decided to look for an indoor activity today so we resulted to the cinema! We watched Last Christmas, to try and feel more christmassy however it turned out to be quite a sad film so we were slightly disappointed. When the movie finished, it appeared that the rain had stopped, and there was a slight break in the clouds so Meg, Johnny and I quickly dashed up to the gondola. We had been waiting for better weather to go up there so that the view was worth it at the top. The gondola only took around 10 minutes to climb up the side of the mountain and at the top the view of Queenstown was incredible! We did the luging activity which was a lot of fun! We went down the luge three times, however by the 4th, it started to rain heavily so we headed back down on the gondola. We then went to Ferg Berger for our dinner, the best burger I had ever tasted!! Our final task for the day was to get some snacks for our day trip to Milford Sounds tomorrow.
