There is nothing better than stepping onto a freshly snowed slope in the morning. Choose a slope from the 270 kilometres of options. Take one of the 70 ski lifts up and ski or snowboard down the mountain in the morning air. Are you not that experienced yet or do you want to improve your skills? Then book a lesson at a ski or snowboard school. If you are up for a serious challenge, follow one of the Skicircus circuits. The Skicircus is also known as a freeride paradise. Do you prefer to experience the winter landscape at a more leisurely pace? There are also cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking trails.

Lunch with a view

All that exertion will make you hungry. Find a cozy restaurant to replenish your energy. Many of the cozy mountain huts in the Skicircus are also open in winter. Here you can enjoy a hearty lunch with a fantastic view. Even the most basic Austrian delicacies taste good with a view of snow-capped peaks and powdered trees. Relax by a crackling fire and warm your stomach with delicious dishes.

Experience alternative winter adventures in the afternoon

Winter fun can also be experienced away from the slopes at Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. Enjoy views of the winter landscape at a leisurely pace while cross-country skiing. The marked routes take you past the most beautiful spots. Or how about an afternoon of ice skating? In Saalfelden Leogang, for example, you can skate on the frozen Ritzensee and in Saalbach Hinterglemm you can show off your skating skills in the sports centre. In Fieberbrunn you can take to the ice for the popular sport of curling or learn the technique from an experienced team. You can create more unforgettable memories in a horse-drawn sleigh or on the winter toboggan run.

Build a party in the après ski bar

Even if you haven't just come off the slopes, you can still enjoy yourself in the après-ski bars. Cosy music, good company and hot drinks. Immerse yourself in traditional Austrian hospitality in atmospheric mountain huts and chalets. Make new friends by the crackling fires and sing along loudly to your guilty pleasures ..

Informal or gourmet dining

Swap the hustle and bustle of the après ski for a culinary treat. Order your favourite Austrian dish in an informal setting, or opt for gastronomic delights in the more luxurious restaurants. Seven of the catering establishments in Saalfelden Leogang have won GaultMillau awards (comparable to Michelin awards). But in Fieberbrunn and Saalbach Hinterglemm you can also choose from many modern restaurants and authentic mountain huts. In the entire Skicircus, sixty huts and numerous catering establishments are open in winter. The locals prepare the most delicious Austrian and international dishes with mainly regional products. Vegetarians will also not be disappointed here.

The evening is for relaxing

After dinner, the evening has fallen. Walk under the starry sky to your accommodation. Have another drink by a crackling fire before going to bed. Tired muscles? Relax in one of the wellness facilities in the region. Still have energy left? Toboggan fans race over one of the illuminated runs. Of course, you can also take a refreshing evening walk through the village or celebrate an après-ski party. Whatever you do, after a day at Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn you will go to bed with a satisfied feeling.

FIS Alpine Ski World Championships 2025

In 2025, the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships will take place in Saalbach. 34 years after the legendary World Ski Championships in 1991, the region will be transformed into a true winter spectacle during the ski sports festival from 4 to 16 February 2025. Ticket sales will start in December 2023.
