After we left Nashville we stayed overnight at Ashville a town recommended to Martin. Steve and I stayed at the motel while the others headed into town. We both had bad colds by now and decided to just relax. When we reached Washington it was wet and cold. We utilised the big bus tour to get us around. The top of the bus was open and freezing, didn't do much for our colds apart from enhance them. Time and weather got in our way here and we didn't get to see everything. We visited the White House, Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Will need to come back to visit the Smithsonian Institution, wander around Georgetown and visit other attractions.
