We did both sides of Niagara Falls as you are allowed to walk across the border into Canada, it cost you a $1 and the bridge across allowed you to see the three falls in all their splendor. So glad as the Canadian side was much more picturesque, the gardens were well manicured and beautiful flowers everywhere. We did a "Maid of the Mist" boat trip into the falls on the Canadian side which got you really close in. On the American side you got to see the top of the falls as they drop.
Spectacular views all around and well worth the visit.
