South East Asia Adventures!!

Day 157 ... We landed at 8am and Lesley picked us up from the airport. After a nice hot shower and some breaki we relaxed and had a good catch up before my Mum and Dad arrived at 12pm. Lesley invited them round for a coffee and some garden advice! Little did they know we were home 2 weeks early and waiting for them inside! They were so gobsmacked we were home and we caught it all on camera, their faces and reactions were just priceless. After a nice catch up, we had a day of relaxing and an early night. We stayed up all day until we finally couldn’t keep our eyes open any longer at 9pm and we slept like babies. Until 6am anyway!

Day 158 ... Charlotte’s 1st Birthday! We have arranged to go to Robyn and Paul’s with my mum and dad later this afternoon. Robyn and Paul took Charlotte to Smithills open farm for her birthday and then we all headed up around 3pm. Adam and I got out of the car just round the corner from their house and then my mum and dad parked up and went inside. Unfortunately Charlotte was tired and needed to go out in the pram for a sleep so as soon as my dad got there he was getting the pram out of the boot of Robyn’s car. When we thought the coast was clear we started walking round the corner but then Robyn was coming out of the house so we ducked behind a car and went back round the corner. Then we saw my dad coming towards us with the pram so we said hello to Charlotte and then spotted Robyn going back out to her car so we ducked down again, I thought she’s seen us but she hadn’t! Once she’s gone back inside we walked over to the house, knocked on the door and I held Charlotte’s Birthday balloon in front of my face for a few seconds after she had opened the door. She had no idea who it was at first, then I moved the balloon and she screamed and burst into tears! So I’ve managed to make my whole family cry in the space of 24 hours, Opps! Her reaction was

better than I expected. I thought she would just say ‘what the heck are you doing here?’ Haha! Seeing Charlotte after 5 months was the icing on the cake though! She’s changed so much and got such an amazing little personality! So so happy we made it home for her 1st Birthday and the party tomorrow!

Day 159 ... Charlotte’s Birthday Party ... After a morning of carpet shopping for the house while it’s being plastered and decorated before we move back in, we all went up to Robyn and Paul’s for Charlotte’s Birthday party. It was so nice to see family so soon after we got home. We had an lovely afternoon celebrating but another early night as the jet lag is well and truly in full swing. Going to bed at 9pm but awake at 4am. Let’s hope our body clocks sort themselves out soon! At least before Adam flies to France in a couple of days to go snowboarding for a week!

Day 160 ... Still waking up at 4.30am! But we got up and went to sign up at the gym. Couldn't wait to get back in the gym. Then the usual food prep Sunday which I've been dying to get back into. Just the chance to cook and eat the food we fancy eating rather than choosing something off a menu which can sometimes be a bit limited in choice! I managed to last until 9.30pm tonight which will help the jet lag and then slept until 6.30am. Yay!
