My diary

There was an even bigger storm overnight in Carmelo. Cory, Jessie and Katie were all quite scared while Sarah slept through the whole thing.

We were picked up at the Campotinto at 7:30 to head to the ferry. The ferries seem to routinely run behind schedule. We were the first ferry out of Colonia and we were already 45 minutes behind.

The house in Palermo is beautiful. We met Luciano at the house and she showed us around. The main floor is about 60 feet long and at least 30 feet wide. The kitchen's floor and counters are cement and look very modern. The rest of the room has old hardwood floors. Between the dining table and the living area is a ping pong / pool table. The bedrooms are all very nice as well.

We dropped our bags and then headed off to the grocery store. We then headed to the Sunday market at San Telmo. It probably had some interesting stuff but we saw the typical tourist stuff. We did see some salsa in a square.

We had dinner at La Cabrera last night. Fortunately for the reservation as there were about 30 people already in line-up when we got there at 8:30. Steak was wonderful but the restaurant was a bit touristy. Apparently a few of the G20 leaders went there for dinner when the meeting was held in early December.
