Up and out early! Our van came to pick us up to bring the whole crew to the train station at 7:45 on the dot. The next stop for the group is Greve in Chianti. The train took us to a small town in Tuscany where we picked up our car rentals to take us the rest of the way. The car ride was a bit treacherous as we wound through the narrow cliffside roads to our destination. We dropped our bags off at our hotel and headed over to the Chianti festival! What an amazing event! All the regional wineries set up shop in a small piazza in the center of Greve. We picked up our glasses which came with a wine glass "necklace" for hands-free storage- very convenient! We picked up two more members of our crew- Jim and Sandra from Maine- and enjoyed another beautiful day sipping chianti in Chianti. Bellismo!
