London 2019: International Theatre Tour

Being a Saturday, we were all delighted to have the chance to sleep in before our meeting with Emily Rose at noon. To commemorate our second to last moment, Emma, Zoe, and I went to another brunch at Patisserie Valerie. It was an excellent way to spend our final morning.

Back at the hostel, we met with Emily Rose, who is also a current theatre professional. She told us about the work she had done as a scenic artist, and how she was able to apply that to a real world job. Overall, she seemed very cool, and I wish we had gotten the chance to see more of her artwork.

Discussion with Theatre Artist & Evensong at Westminster Abbey

Being a Saturday, we were all delighted to have the chance to sleep in before our meeting with Emily Rose at noon. To commemorate our second to last moment, Emma, Zoe, and I went to another brunch at Patisserie Valerie. It was an excellent way to spend our final morning.

Back at the hostel, we met with Emily Rose, who is also a current theatre professional. She told us about the work she had done as a scenic artist, and how she was able to apply that to a real world job. Overall, she seemed very cool, and I wish we had gotten the chance to see more of her artwork.

Knowing we had to be at Evensong at 5:00 pm, most of us went back to the room to relax for a bit. Around 2:30 or so, we slowly began to head over in the direction of Westminster Abbey. As it would turn out, the tube

was rather crowded with people going to a "March for Life" rally. It seemed that there were many different protests going on today, all for different reasons.

After waiting in line to be allowed into the Abbey, we were finally able to sit down and listen to the service. While it was very intriguing to hear the all-male choir, I was still a little bored. It was not the type of church service I am used to, so it was hard to remain focused. I am also sad that we were not able to take pictures inside of Westminster Abbey because there were many beautiful things.

Once the service was over, we went to have a final group dinner at Tavistock Tandoori. The food was once again amazing, and it was nice to have a final chance to all be together before the plane ride tomorrow morning.
