Today we left Denver, Colorado and are on our way to the Grand Canyon. It took us 10 hours and 30 minutes since it was almost 660 miles from Denver. We made one stop and ended up spending 100 dollars on gas. On that same stop we went to the "Four Corners" where Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico meet. So technically if we stood there we were in four different state at the same time. "How can that be possible!" said Fernando. After that we hit the road again. We stayed for one night at the Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn hotel and it ended costing us 100 dollars since that was the cheapest hotel for three people. We went to the Grand Canyon's South Rim since it's open year around and it's accessible by all, which saved us a lot of problems like time and money. It was a very fun hike until Juan finished all the water only half way through the hike. During the tour we learned that the Grand Canyon was carved and is still being carved by the Colorado River over 6 millions years ago. Also for thousands of year Native Americans have inhabited the area, who built their settlements within the canyon and its caves. We enjoyed the beautiful view of what mother nature has created over its years, one of the them being the Grand Canyon.
