Today we leave Montgomery , very good time we had there. Next stop is The Fort Sumter national monument, Very excited to visit this place ! We will have to travel 436 miles east to get to Fort Sumter , by the way Fort Sumter is an island so we also have to get a boat to get there and officially arrive at Fort sumter. We will have to stop for gas 2 times which will be a total of 75 dollars with the price of gas at 2.05 dollars. Once we arrive we will check into our hotel. Sleep Inn Mt. Pleasant - Charleston for just 69 dollars per night. Once we check in we are going to eat some pizza and then get ready to get on the boat to Fort Sumter ( I hope Juan doesn’t throw up). For the whole tour we will pay 22.00 for each tickets which will be 66 dollars for all. First we will get on the boat for a 30 minute cruise and once we arrive we will get our tour around the island. There we learned that Fort Sumter was built 1811 and it was created to protect Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. The historical event that happened there was the bombing of 1861, where the first shots of Civil war were fired. After 4 years of battle Lincoln surrendered Fort Sumter.We are very tired of learning everything and traveling around the U.S , so we went to bed early.
