History Trip

Today we left Philadelphia, home of the Philadelphia Eagles which are in The Super Bowl! We are heading to New York City which is full of excitement, I love this city. To get there we will have to travel 96.7 miles which is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Since it is not a very far trip to get to our destination we will only be stopping for gas once and only filling up to the max we haven't burned up much so it wont be more than 20 dollars. Once we get here we are going to go visit the women we all look up to as Americans which is The Statue of Liberty. We are very excited. Once there we learned that The Statue of liberty was a gift from the French in result of the American Revolution where France was involved in. We also learned that it was built in 1876, The sculptor was Frederic Auguste Bartholdi but it was built by Gustave Eiffel. We also learned that The Statue of Liberty's true color was brown because of all the copper used on its creation, throughout the years it started to turn green as we see it today. After all this traveling we ate a good old hot dog from the streets of the Big Apple and headed to our hotel. We are staying at Paramount Hotel for only 63 dollars.
